There’s a Place for You Here
2026 Theme: Built to Last
Scripture: “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
Psalms 127:1 NKJV
““Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24-25 NKJV
This year, our focus is on foundations.
Tagline: Strong Foundations. Steady Faith. Sustainable Ministry.
Why it fits St. Matthew:
• Honors legacy without idolizing the past
• Speaks to discipleship, leadership development and longevity
• Pairs well with teaching, stewardship and generational faith
We are Built to Last.
What “Built to Last” Means for SMBCL
• Spiritually, we will deepen our walk with God through intentional worship, sound teaching and disciplined discipleship.
• Relationally, we will strengthen unity, accountability and love across generations.
• Ministerially, we will build systems, leaders and ministries that are sustainable, not just successful.
• Missionaly, we will continue serving our community with compassion that is rooted in Christ and guided by purpose.
Every member of St. Matthew is encouraged to pray, participate and prepare. Pray for wisdom and unity. Participate faithfully in worship, learning and giving. Prepare your heart for growth that may stretch you but will also strengthen you.
SMBCL Family, let us commit to being Built to Last, for this generation and the next.
